91 Mins: Germany get the game going and they are already in Argentina’s face! Schurrle has an effort on goal blocked by the Argentine defence early!

90+1 Min: Goetze controls the ball well at the center and runs towards the goal before taking a shot which doesn’t bother Romero.
87 Min: A dangerous Messi run is halted. The rebound falls for Biglia who winds up to shoot but Schweinsteiger gets a vital toe on the ball.
80 Min: Hoewedes stays up after a corner and Mueller feeds him, but the defender can’t turn fast enough and Garay steals the ball away from him. Looks like the game might head for extra-time!
74 Min: Messi doing what he does best! The Barcelona forward turns inward from the right looking for his favourite left-footed curler. He eventually comes reaches where he wanted to but he can’t get the bend and it floats well wide in the end.
71 Min: CHANCE! Schurrle finds himself in the box after a flurry of short passes but he can’t quite take it under control and Argentina just about snuff out the danger.
63 Min: Messi takes a corner and sends it to the near post but it seems to deflect off Klose via Aguero. It could have been another corner but the referee points for a goal kick.
57 Min: Neuer comes flying out of his goal to the edge of the box and punches clear while smashing into Higuain at the same time. The Italian referee somehow gives Germany the free kick! The Bayern keeper’s knee was in the head of the Argentine!
54 Min: Schurrle went down in the area, but the referee yelled ‘play on’ and Mueller’s attempt on the left from a tight angle was diverted over.
47 Min: CHANCE! Messi receives a brilliant pass which takes him on towards the goal on the left and the little magician shoots with his trusty left just wide off the far post. Huge chance!!!
Second-half: The referee gets the game restarted and Argentina kick-off. Sergio Aguero is on for Lavezzi.
HALF-TIME
45+1 Min: CHANCE! Hoewedes sees a header hit the post but the later efforts are deemed for an offside.
44 Min: Mueller makes a nice run on the right and no Argentine is there to block his cross which is too far for Klose to get on to.
40 Min: Messi runs well down the right and into the area. The little magician then but somehow gets the ball past Neuer from the byline and Boateng comes to the rescue by hooking away from inside his six-yard box.
38 Min: SAVE! Romero dives to his right to push away Schurrle’s first-time effort after a quick break by the Germans. Almost an immediate impact from Schurrle who has been a deadly super sub in this World Cup!
31 Min: SUBSTITUTION! The pre-match replacement is replaced as Kramer comes off and Schurrle takes his place! Kramer’s first start in the World Cup has turned into a nightmare!
30 Min: A goal has been denied to Argentina cause Higuain was offside! But what a great set of passes to get the offside-goal! Messi plays a superb pass to Lavezzi on the right and the PSG forward crossed it into the danger zone for Higuian to finish! If only..
23 Min: Mueller almost wriggles his way into a shooting position after a nice exchange with Klose but Argentina get bodies around to block the attempt.
20 Min: MASSIVE CHANCE! A terrible headed back-pass by Kroos is picked up by Higuain and the Napoli striker is one on one against Neuer but he shoots wide!!!
16 Min: Kroos drills a low corner towards the penalty spot but Mascherano reads it and clears it out to the edge of the area. Fortunately for him there was no-one in a German shirt running onto it.
14 Min: Lahm crosses a ball in from the right towards Klose but Demichelis gets across and denies the frontman a chance to attack it.
10 Min: Argentina work a nice opening down the right where Zabaleta cuts a dangerous ball back towards the penalty spot but it dissects his two teammates in the area. Could have been 1-0 up!
