Luis Suarez to Barcelona: Top 3 football transfers post FIFA 2014 World Cup
The 2014 FIFA World Cup is currently underway in Brazil and the Fans have been treated with some exquisite football but away from all the football frenzy in Brazil some of the top European clubs have already got down to Business. The World Cups are generally followed by intense transfer activities and some of the clubs have already identified their targets and are in advanced stages of reaching a deal. Here is a list of top transfers that may take place after the World Cup:
Luis Suarez to Barcelona:
Luis Suarez, the disgraced Liverpool star whose World Cup ended prematurely after receiving a four month ban for biting Georgio Chiellini is a subject to a bid in the region of 70-80 million pounds by Spanish giants Barcelona who are desperate to sign a quality striker after a dismal last season. Liverpool would be looking to cut their losses on a player who despite being fans favourite at Anfield has time and again infuriated the Liverpool board with his antics on the pitch. Barcelona may offer Chile striker Alexis Sanchez as a part of the deal to Liverpool who are keen admirers of the Barcelona forward.
Toni Kroos to Real Madrid:
After pursuing the Bayern Munich midfielder for the best part of 12 months, Manchester United look set to miss out on their transfer target as European champions Real Madrid lead the race for his signature. A deal of around 20 million pound should be enough to land the German although his agent has denied any such development.
James Rodriguez to Real Madrid or Manchester City:
The man who leads the race for the Golden Boot has arguably been the find of the tournament. Real Mardid have set their eyes on signing this new Galactico while Manchester City too is a keen admirer of the young Colombian. His club A S Monaco are ready to cash in on the player by clearly stating any bid less than 75 million euros would not be entertained. Manchester City and Real Mardid backed by their rich boards look set for a bidding war but many in Spain believe the Colombian would complete a switch to the Spanish outfit after the World Cup.
